Check that roaming is on
This is the most common cause. A travel eSIM works by roaming on partner networks: if data roaming is off on that line, nothing gets through. The setting lives in the eSIM line's options, not your main line's.
Check that data actually runs through the eSIM
On a two-line phone, data can stay assigned to your usual line. You need to set the eSIM as the data line, otherwise you browse on your home plan's roaming, which can be expensive.
Give the network time to connect
On landing, connecting to the partner network sometimes takes a minute or two. Turn airplane mode on and off to force a fresh search, then wait.
If the QR code is refused
An eSIM QR code installs only once. If it is refused, it has usually already been used, or the phone is carrier-locked. In that case write to us: we check the real state of your eSIM with the provider.
Can I install my eSIM before departure?
Yes, and we recommend it: installation needs an internet connection, easier to find at home than on arrival. It only starts using data once it connects to the network in the country.
What if nothing works once I am there?
Write to us on WhatsApp. A real person answers, checks your eSIM with the provider, and if it cannot be used you are refunded within 48 hours.
